We saw "Sausage Party," the cartoon for adults

Here's a film that really doesn't look like any other, and for good reason, this is clearly an animated film reserved for adults. And yet, you won't see any humans fooling around, in any way whatsoever, because here, the protagonists of this 3D film are vegetables, fruits, and other edible (or not) products living in a supermarket. Without spoiling you, this is a completely improbable UFO of a film, aiming to be comedic and provocative, especially on the subject of religion, which is ultimately the heart of the story.

Written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the film was first canceled in France, then rescheduled, probably following its significant success during its American release. It's Sony that distributes the film, a few months after dropping onto the Internet the first images of the film, which clearly promised the best...

...and then no. It's long, even tedious, apart from a few scenes already present in the trailer, the 3D is dreadful, from another age. And it's a shame because over-the-top provocation is actually a good idea when it's well handled. Here it's just long, long, long.

At the preview screening, many people left the theater before the end. The ending, by the way, let's not even talk about it, but the more prudish should abstain. Needless to say, you shouldn't go see this film with your kids.

It would seem the French dub is a bit less vulgar, with Hanouna doing a voice. It comes out on November 30, 2016 in France, you can abstain, sadly.
