Foot fetishist? But why?

A while back, Myriam published an article on MadMoizelle.com, dedicated to foot fetishism, with a rather interesting account from a young woman who became a model for fetishists. Basically, she gets paid to have her feet photographed.

The article raises a few questions, and as a vague representative of the fetishist class, I'm going to fill in her article a bit here, and answer a few questions you maybe weren't even asking yourself.

What is being a foot fetishist?

Well, to put it simply, it's quite simply feeling an emotion or an interest at the sight of a bare foot. It's as simple as that. In her article, Myriam mentions what would be, for her, "types" of foot fetishism, she talks about trampling, tickling, smell, etc. In fact, all this doesn't necessarily fall under foot fetishism. In reality, when you're a trampling fetishist, you're a trampling fetishist, period. Someone who's a heel or ankle fetishist isn't necessarily a foot fetishist either.

Even though you find a lot of nuances in this fetish, the vast majority of fetishists have a pretty specific fixation: the arch of the foot. The underside of the foot if you will. Let's be even more precise, the "hollow of the foot". It's a zone, quite simply, that fetishists will want to see and touch, while non-fetishists couldn't care less about it.

Historically, where does it come from?

Who knows. In any case, in the 18th century the thing was pretty widespread, though people talked more about ankle fetishism, since it was a part of the body rarely shown in public. I'd tend to imagine that throughout time, depending on the conditioning and the fashions of the moment, there have always been fetishists of anything and everything.

So how do you become a foot fetishist?

In my case, it's rather recent. As a teenager, I wasn't a foot fetishist, not at all. On the other hand, I know that as a child, the thing already fascinated me. I often heard my mother say, jokingly, that my godfather was a foot fetishist. I asked very early on what that meant, and I was told "well, he loves women's feet." I had a lot of trouble understanding why, but it always intrigued me, and I always identified this man, whom I've hardly ever seen, as "the guy who's a foot fetishist."

When I was a child, my big sister and I played an imagination game with our feet, which became improbable characters. Even though I don't remember the details of that game, I imagine I associated those moments with pleasant moments of my childhood. This kind of thing can absolutely give rise to a fetish.

To be very honest, I think the beginning of my fetish came late, with one of my first girlfriends who had very aesthetic feet. At the time it wasn't really a fetish, since it was tied to only one person.

Over time, it grew in importance, I think I started to "pay attention" to female feet, then slowly it became a joke on my blog, and this gag of a pseudo-fetish ended up becoming a reality. So I clearly think all this comes down to conditioning, even self-conditioning. When you start taking an interest in a subject, it can quickly become all-consuming. A guy who starts collecting a few stamps can quickly go crazy at the sight of a simple post office.

What does a foot fetishist look like?

The foot fetishist is often a shy boy, or at least someone who has been shy, in particular with girls. Probably due to a certain awkwardness or shame about his fetish.

This actually reminds me of the comic by Riad Sattouf, Florence's Pretty Feet, which touches on this subject.

Anyone can be a fetishist. People sometimes mention fetishist stars, like Quentin Tarantino for example (see example below), but you should know that around you there are necessarily some too. You maybe don't know it, but it's clearly one of the most widespread fetishes. It's been a while now since I personally stopped feeling very original.

Note that there are also plenty of female foot fetishists, often of female feet. I even know one who's also a fetishist of men's feet, I suppose that stays pretty rare.

It's completely twisted though, isn't it?

Not for a single second. We talk about "fetishism" for the foot because it's not the most usual thing, but who would talk about breast or butt fetishism? A boy who spends his time jerking off to photos of boobs or asses, it wouldn't cross your mind to find him suspicious. And yet the fact that he's so aroused by breasts and butts does come from a slow conditioning, cultural, around butts and breasts.

We won't go into big armchair generalities, but the only thing that makes this seem twisted to some is difference, difference generates incomprehension, incomprehension generates fear, let's hold hands and sing of love all together.

That said, to be very honest, some fetishists who spend their time on social media acting weird as soon as a girl posts a photo of bare feet don't help normalize the thing. Fetishist friends, dropping a like or a nice comment now and then is okay, but don't be pushy with it, especially if you don't know at all the person you're throwing this kind of comment at. It's just as pushy and idiotic as tossing out a "wow, nice boobs!" to a stranger.

And on a daily basis, what does it look like?

Not much. Me, I take photos of feet regularly, because I find it pretty. Some people try at all costs to touch feet, and take advantage a bit of the fact that for a girl, letting her foot be touched isn't such a big deal. For others it turns into a pathological obsession, but that's like with everything, and everyone manages their fixation as best they can.

As for me, I probably tend to touch my girlfriend's feet more often, I imagine, but I don't spend my days pouncing on feet, and I haven't yet cut any off to stick in my freezer.

A model who has her feet photographed, is she a whore?

Well, even though "being a whore" is absolutely not a problem, no, a model who poses barefoot or sells photos of her feet isn't one.

Today, do you consider a model who has herself photographed nude a whore? If so, well, you're an idiot. Same for feet. Everyone does as they please.

You have to be clear about this: even if the ultimate purpose of a foot shoot is "erotic," it's EXACTLY the same thing with all the shoots in the world. From the moment you try to make a model sexy and attractive, the ulterior motive of a photographer or the viewer is the same regardless of the body part being photographed. So you might as well relax about the subject right away, there's nothing serious about it, they're photos, whether it's breasts, feet, or knees, it doesn't change much.

"My boyfriend is a foot fetishist, what do I do?"

A few years ago, I received a rather special email, I'll stick it below with the agreement of the person who wrote it to me.

Hello, My name is Nina. I recently met a wonderful boy. He told me about his fetish and of course I accept it. I found that really lovely. Why? Because often, the fetishist, whatever kind, is often seen as a pervert, and at the start of a relationship doesn't dare talk about it to his girlfriend. Then the situation drags on, and sometimes he never talks to her about it. The result is often exacerbated frustration, and for some it even sometimes generates quite a bit of sadness.

It can happen that some "partners" lack openness on the subject. Generally speaking, lots of guys and girls never ask themselves about the preferences and desires of their loved ones, and they don't make the effort, even just to take an interest in it or listen to the other without giggling or calling them twisted. It only takes one word, just once, to shut down discussion of the subject for life: "Ha ha! You like feet? But you're a foot pervert! Ha ha!", and it's over, the fetishist guy or girl will never talk about it again.

It's a shame because a frustrated fetishist, who can't even talk about it, well sometimes that makes for an annoying fetishist. So obviously, if you don't buy into your partner's fetishist trip at all, there's no question of forcing yourself, absolutely not, but at least avoid giving them the impression that they're a hideous degenerate. Once again, "really liking feet" is no more perverted than really liking butts or breasts. To be more blunt, running a tongue over a penis isn't less disgusting than under a foot, believe me, and who cares if it's disgusting anyway.

All this to say that this young lady's approach, who couldn't have cared less about her feet before meeting this boy, is really positive. She talked about it with him, then she looked into it. In the end she decided to dig into the subject and please him by entering his fetish with him, so as to be the center of it. Clever.

We ended up meeting, we took lots and lots of photos of her and her feet, which she had printed for her boyfriend, for Christmas. Cute, right? (You're obviously not obligated to go that far, huh). I find it very cute, and the photos are right here:

You're a fetishist. Well, try not to be "weird" about it, talk about it naturally, without being pushy, without forcing it, and above all don't go sending weird messages to strangers just because they show their feet.

You're not a fetishist? Be cool with your fetishist loved ones, no need to judge them, I'm sure you too have some slightly unusual things in you.
