A few Christmas gift ideas

There's one thing I'm pretty good at in life, and that's finding gifts for people. I must have been Santa Claus in a past life (or a home-shopping TV salesman). So a lot of you have been suggesting I put together a little article with Christmas gift ideas! Here it is, and it gets updated every year!
So if you're struggling to figure out what to buy as a gift for this Christmas, or for a birthday, or just because you give random gifts (and good on you for it), here's a little selection! It draws a lot on the "My Gear" page, where I list all the stuff I use myself. But not only that!
Gift ideas under 20€
Top Ten
- Top Ten board game We played this thing all summer, it's completely silly and a lot of fun, and you can play it with kids too! A must-have.
- Black Water: The Flood book A very trendy 6-volume saga. I found it a bit cheesy, BUT I have to admit it's a really good book for people who don't much like reading. It's easy to read, easy to follow, easy to understand, and rather well put together.
- The Dune book This book was a revelation for me. If you know someone who loved the movies without having read the book, this is really the gift to give.
- High-quality Chinese chopsticks For lovers of Asian food, it's a pretty nice gift!
- Steel straws Totally approved, we use them every summer.
Gift ideas from 20€ to 40€
- Platinum cat scratcher I love this thing, and so do my cats!
- The Most Beautiful Color in the World comic It's my latest comic-book crush, I found it gorgeous, so here it is!
- Long Live the Tide comic Another comic I loved! I really recommend it.
- Spelt pillow I've now been using a spelt pillow for 5 years, it's great, whether it's hot or cold, and it's fantastic for your neck.
- Chilly's insulated water bottle A great classic! And there are so many patterns available...
- Concept board game Honestly a lot of fun with family or friends, and you can easily play it from age 10 up!
Gift ideas from 40€ to 60€
- Victorinox Swiss Army knife I think it's a great gift, genuinely useful, takes up little room in a bag, I always have one on me, and I've given several to people around me (thanks Hugo for the idea).
- Anker magnetic power bank You think a power bank is a lame gift? Yes, but this model is rather nice-looking, on top of being super handy with its little stand for watching movies in peace on the train.
- Electric massager Honestly I didn't believe in it, but it's really pleasant. If you know someone with back pain, it's fantastic!
- A bathrobe A gift we don't always think of, but that always goes down well. Especially if you pick a good-quality one.
Gift ideas from 60€ to 100€
Opinel set
- Belkin MagSafe iPhone charging station So yeah, clearly it's not cheap! But it's a lovely gift, elegant, solid, oozing quality. It's the one I use on my desk, and on top of that it charges iPhones very quickly.
- Opinel kitchen knife set I love this knife set that I use every day! Great gift for someone who likes to cook. And right now as I'm writing these lines, it's on sale.
- Fatboy rechargeable cordless lamp We use plenty of them at home, and we've often given them as gifts! Lovely present.
Gift ideas from 100€ to 200€
- Ember heated mug Probably my best purchase of the year! This heated mug keeps your coffee, tea or hot chocolate at the right temperature, it's brilliant (even if a bit pricey).
- Set of 4 Apple AirTags It's really the ideal gift for scatterbrains, I've put them everywhere: in my wallet, in my suitcase, on my keys, attached to my camera, etc. It really lets you stress less and worry less about losing things.
- Sonos Roam portable speaker I'm not very objective because I love Sonos! But it can also be a good opportunity to get into the Sonos ecosystem, which is excellent and increasingly capable. Plus the sound on this speaker is excellent.
- Pyrex cast-iron pot This one's also on sale as I write these lines, and it's a great investment if you don't have one yet!
- Instax Square Link Without a doubt the best portable mini printer on the market, for printing the photos you take with your smartphone.
Gift ideas over 200€ (wow, you're rich)
- An iPad mini Now that's clearly a great gift, but the iPad mini really is a great product, that I recommend to everyone!
- Kindle Paperwhite 2024 The Kindle Paperwhite e-reader has replaced my Kindle Oasis, and it's really top-notch, it's now the one I use every day, and I truly love it.
- AirPods Max Clearly a great pair of headphones and a great gift!
- Apple TV 4K Another great gift, as long as the person you're giving it to spends time juggling several streaming services and is comfortable with the Apple world!
- Pro-Ject turntable So yes, there are more affordable turntables out there, but this one is so beautiful that everyone can agree on it.
- Riviera-et-Bar automatic teapot Know a big tea drinker? This very handsome gift will let them enjoy all their teas with a brew fine-tuned to the perfect timing and temperature.
