Phone hotlines, that sweet cancer (ft. Orange/Sosh)
Published on 20 September 2012

I've had insane exchanges with Orange advisors more times than I can count. If you want an example, I invite you to go back and read this article, which is bursting with love.
These days, as a general rule, fleeing any Orange advisor (or SFR, or Numéricable, and the rest) is one of my few guiding principles in life. I honestly think that if I ever had a real problem on one of my lines, I'd rather just switch carriers than talk to an advisor.
My friend Olivier is braver than me, and wanted to let the Web advisors over at Orange/Sosh know that a bug on the site was stopping him from managing his plan properly, and online. A simple question, then: "I want to be able to change my plan online, it's not working anymore, could you take a look?"
AND THEN, DISASTER STRUCK. The full exchange is available here, it's a bit long, but it's worth all the best screenplays in the world. Grab your popcorn.
The takeaway from all this?
- To get support at Sosh, you also need a second phone subscription.
- To get support at Sosh, you have to hand over your password (HA HA).
There you go. Note: The story doesn't end so badly, since the folks at Sosh do at least try to make up for it on Twitter, which isn't so bad.
